| Serving as the Director of Design and Construction for a Boston-based charity, FATEM Malcolm developed the concepts and strategies for construction of a rural school campus near Mirebalais—a town 35 miles North-East of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This extraordinary school now has 200 students in attendance on the phase-one campus—rural Haitian children in an English-language-immersion curriculum. Collaborators include De-Paul University and The Francis Parker School in Chicago. The campus includes a computer laboratory with internet access, on site power generation and full plumbing facilities as well as a kitchen serving perhaps the only meal the children will eat each day.
